SCIM-based role management

DX supports managing user roles through SCIM:

• When SCIM-based role management is enabled, you cannot manage roles in the DX UI.
• This capability is provided through a third-party service provider, WorkOS.
• The list of identity providers (IdPs) supported by WorkOS can be found here.

Setup instructions

Step 1 - Enable SCIM in DX

Contact DX support to enable the SCIM Directory Sync feature for your account.

Step 2 - Configure SCIM

1. Once Directory Sync is enabled, go to the DX admin area and browse Directory Sync.
2. Go to the WorkOS portal to connect your IdP and select the groups you want to sync with DX.
3. In DX, click on the ellipsis menu to select the role you want to map to each IdP group.
