# Why does DX recommend sending DX surveys from a person rather than a bot?
Sending surveys as a person makes a much stronger impression on respondents, and leads to significantly higher response rates. With user-sent surveys, customers typically achieve an 80-90% response rate versus around 60% when sending as a bot.
